1. See the tutorial playlist
   • Learn everything from episodes 1.1-1.7
   • For episode 1.8, it has a lot of good advice so you should watch it, but note that we typically don’t do the longest unblockable combo anymore in modern runs, and likewise we rarely cancel our combos
   • Delete your cutscenes as shown in episode 2.1
     • However you should not use your own save as you must use the save provided on speedrun.com for this category
     • Also the bit about setting up your camera before the run is no longer relevant as these days the timer starts when the Prince starts moving, so you can just set up the camera after the game starts but before the run starts
   • Learn everything from episode 2.2
   • Learn everything from episode 2.3.1/2.3.2 except Barrier Skip itself
     • Don’t worry too much about learning the precise setup for the Ultimate Glitch
     • Just do some kind of Ultimate Glitch towards the wall, and whether you end up popping out or jumping underneath the wall - as long as you don’t die - this is fine for this category; the aim is merely to skip the third fight
     • If you pop out then simply grind down and jump into the cutscene
     • If you don’t pop out, then make sure you’ve hit the load trigger, then proceed back inbounds and watch the cutscene, as shown here
     • If you don’t pop out and get the fast variant where you jump straight into the load trigger, you can also do this (you land on a slightly higher platform so you don’t have to go left to pop back inbounds)
     • IMPORTANT: you have to watch this cutscene, unless you don’t want to do the cutscene skips on the way to the Warrior fight
   • Skip episodes 2.4-2.19 as they are not relevant for this category
   • Learn Temple Door Clip from episode 2.20
     • If you don’t do Temple Door Clip then you lose your rd storage and you can’t skip the cutscenes on the way to the Warrior fight
     • If you struggle to do it the way the video suggests, try not using the setup and simply winging it - approach the door at as much of an angle as possible and once you get close, jump under it, as shown here
     • Alternatively you can try this method where you don’t have to worry as much about distance from the wall on the final jump
     • With either method, make sure you wait for a second or so before doing the corner clip, otherwise the camera won’t snap (this is because we watched the cutscene and Elika is climbing the Temple walls)
   • Skip episode 2.21 as it is not beginner-friendly
